How to view my devices data on the Dashboard on the FreeWave Data Portal
Log onto https://portal.freewave.com
Under the Dashboard section, you'll see two options; Map and Device List.
Map will take you to the Map view with all your Fusion Minis pinned in their last known location
(NB: Newly purchased Fusion Minis that have not connected to the FreeWave Data Portal since delivery, may not appear in the Map view. Once they connect, they will begin to show up).
List will you show your Fusion Mini's as well as any connected sensors and some connection data.
NB: For Fusion Minis purchased after February 2022, Dashboard access is sold separately to the Data Plan. If you elected to not purchase dashboards as part of your subscription, the dashboards are not available and the rest of this article is not relevant.
You can view the Dashboard for the specific Fusion Mini, you can either:
Click on the pin in the Map view and click View Dashboard.
Click on the View Dashboard button in Device List.
What is displayed on the Dashboard?
Last Seen | This is the date and time that the last measurement was taken from the Fusion Mini. These include Fusion Mini RS-485 sensor readings, Fusion Mini battery levels and Fusion Mini solar charging stats. This timestamp may or may not reference Bluetooth sensor readings. See the Latest Readings for more info. This is NOT when the Fusion Mini communicated with the Swarm satellite. |
Battery | This is the remaining battery level in % for the Fusion Mini. This also links to the Device performance graph |
Sensor Battery Levels | These are the battery levels for any connected sensors. RS-485 sensors do not appear here as directly connected and don't have their own battery. |
Sensor Signal Levels | These are the relative signal strength of the Bluetooth-connected sensors. Sensors closer to 0% may have issues responding to Fusion Mini requests for data. |
Latest Readings | In table format, these are the latest sensor readings for any connected sensors. If your Bluetooth-connected sensors are nearby then this time should match the Last Seen time. If your Bluetooth sensors are further away and having trouble communicating or they've gone flat, this time will be the last time we heard from that sensor. |
Historical Readings |
In graph form, these are plots of your sensor data. By default, these will display hourly sensor readings from the last 7 days. You can alter these defaults. Reading Interval: This is how often you want a data point. Note, that your Fusion Mini is configured with an interval pre-set. If the Fusion Mini interval is 30 mins, then 30 mins are as granular as you can get. Setting it to 1 min won't show any more data. Reading Count: This limits the number of readings displayed Date picker: Currently defaulted to Last 7 days, you can shorten or lengthen the amount of days/hours shown. You can also filter the data to a specific date range by using the month/year dropdowns. Filtering devices: Underneath the graphs, you can see the individual sensors. Clicking them will turn those specific plot lines off allowing you to show individual sensors. |
