The WC70i LCD is a modular wireless gas detection device with integrated 900 MHz wireless communications and an LCD display. It monitors gas presence at the point of risk and transmits the measurement wirelessly to a WaveContact gateway.

The WC70i LCD is a modular wireless gas detection platform with integrated 900 MHz wireless communications. It monitors gas presence at the point of risk and transmits the measurement wirelessly to a WaveContact Gateway. Readings integrate into your supervisory system over Modbus at the gateway. You can pair the WaveContact gateway with a FreeWave long range radio (FGR series) or Zum series for greater connectivity and integration.
 

The smart gas sensor draws power from a built-in 72 A/h battery pack and uses embedded signal processing to deliver stable, accurate readings with long-term stability and predictive diagnostics. It automatically compensates for temperature, communicates digitally with the transmitter, and stores calibration data and sensor life information internally, reducing field setup time and the risk of maintenance errors.
 

A local LCD display, alarm indicators, and sealed keypad enable full field operation, including zero and span calibration, bump tests, and alarm checks, without laptops, handheld programmers, or special magnetic tools. This allows for fast, straightforward service even in Class I Division 1 environments. Two bright red LEDs provide local alarm notification whenever gas concentration exceeds a set threshold.
